Patient Care Philosophy
“I understand that for many patients, a visit to the eye doctor can be cause for some anxiety or even stress. It is my responsibility to make the experience as pleasant and informative as possible. I care deeply about my patients’ vision and comfort, so I want to spend the time necessary to make sure that they understand their diagnosis and treatment plan. My goal is to work as a team with my patients to ensure the healthiest eyes possible.”
Dr. Schrack graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, with a BS degree in Neuroscience in 2003. She then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where she obtained her medical degree in 2007. After medical school, Dr. Schrack completed her transitional medicine internship at Crozer Chester Medical Center, where she was named Intern of the Year. During her residency in ophthalmology at Temple University Hospital, she similarly distinguished herself as Chief Resident. Dr. Schrack concluded her training with a fellowship in cornea and anterior segment under the direction of Dr. Brandon Ayres and Dr. Irving Raber at Wills Eye Hospital.
As a board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Schrack served patients in a local suburban practice for two years prior to bringing her outstanding comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery and cornea experience to Ophthalmic Partners in 2015.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Schrack continues to lecture and work with medical students from Jefferson Medical College. In this way, she remains committed to the next generation of physicians even as she continues to develop her skills as an ophthalmologist and surgeon.
